julce's Full Review: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler | ||||
This review is for the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. This is the best eyelash curler out there in my opinion. This eyelash curler will give you the most natural looking curly lashes ever. I have medium length eyelashes that have very little natural curl to them. In order to open up my eyes, eyelash curling is a must. This curler looks like a traditional curler. At first, I was expecting it to perform like other eyelash curlers too. However, once you clamp it down on your lash, you realize this curler is special. The hinge on the curler clamps down on your lashes smoothly and evenly. I have tried other curlers that have stiff clamps and apply uneven pressure (such as Revlon and Cover Girl.) These inferior curlers will pinch your eyelid (ouch!), give you an uneven curled lash or no curl at all. Also, the pad on the Shu Uemura curler (the part that touches your lashes) is a nice black silicon pad that lasts for a year I have found. Even better, your curler comes with an extra pad. This pad ensures that you get a nice eye opening curl that cannot be beat. I have also tried Shisheido's eyelash curler because I have read a lot of positive reviews about it. While Shisheido's is nice, I think Shu Uemura's gives you the best, natural curl. Shisheido's did not curl my lashes enough. This curler is one of my most critical beauty items. The Shu Uemura curler is $19 which might sound steep. However, your lashes will turn out so nice that at $19, it actually is a deal. The instructions advice that the pad should be changed after three months and the curler should last six months. However, one curler will last me about two years and I change the pad after one year. You can purchase the Shu Uemura at Sephora, Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, and shuuemura.com. Recommended: Yes |
